1) Download virtual machine image or install Ubuntu Server 14.04 x64.

2) For installation on a clean operating system run command:

wget; bash ./

(Use the bash call! There are problems when calling sh ./ because sh does not support many functions!)

Note: commercial version requires access to the repository for installation and upgrade. Contact technical support with a hardware id before proceeding the installation.

3) By default, the server will take an ip address via DHCP. IP address will be displayed in the server console. To assign a static ip address, edit the file /etc/network/interfaces.

Example /etc/network/interfaces:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static

4) Run the following commands to update the packages and operating system.

apt-get update; apt-get upgrade -y; apt-get dist-upgrade -y

5) For update only distribution RuSIEM/RvSIEM run command:

apt-get update; apt-get upgrade -y; /opt/rusiem/update/bin/

6) Use the /opt/rusiem/support/ command for check the system status or the System section in the web interface.

7) To access the web console, use https://server_ip
